FreeWeb-7- Only Promise?
| | | |
In FreeWeb-7, you can get lot of space and bandwidth. You will get banner less free PHP hosting. Support is good. Server speed is good. You do not get the mention of the file type they support. No FAQ is available, which could have helped you. No website email is provided. No automated back up. Poor application facility and poor site management facility. Ftp does not work with IE or firefox. No zip file and .fla file. No mention about it. You set up an account and then you find it out. They are making more claims then they actually provide. Probably you will not like it. This is for people who need very simple websites with no email and general control facilities in a website. Check that before you jump.

Hi there.
I am the admin and owner of freeweb7.com. Thank you for the review. I would like to see that we actually do offer a F.A.Q section and also you can see the allowed file types before signing up. All you have to do is follow the link on freeweb7.com that sais “freeweb7 web community” and visit the forums.
We also have an e-mail that you can use to contact us on the main site, or you can send a ticket using the internal system. Zip files have been allowed for a long time, fla files are allowed now, and also people can request file types to be allowed (no htaccess, or other type of file that cannot be securley implemented though).
There is an automated backup option (in PhpMyAdmin), but some users have been complaining about slow loading when trying to download the backup.
Backups can be sent to users upon requests. It’s a free service, it’s not perfect, but a lot of users are very happy with it.
Anyway, thank you for the review again, there were just some things I needed to add.
